A broke salon worker accepts help from a charming man with a luxury rental, only to learn her name is on a house being cleaned like a crime scene and her life is being moved into a trap.
SYNOPSIS:
TRAP HOUSE WIFE opens in a luxury rental house where women in hoodies clean fast with bleach wipes while a cracked acrylic nail sits under a stool and a phone buzzes with Nia Brooks's name as leaseholder. Darius Vale enters with a velvet ring box and says Nia does not know the house yet. That line is the trap: romance, rescue, crime, and paperwork already moving before Nia understands what has been done.
Nia is a booth-rent-strapped stylist at Queened Up Beauty, caring for her younger sister Malika and trying to keep pride alive on past-due notices and salon gossip. Darius brings money, attention, and the kind of solution that feels like a blessing until the address, lease, and late-night house tour start pointing toward danger. Friends like Tasha see the mystery money before Nia wants to. By the time Nia realizes the luxury rental is attached to criminal cleanup, false documents, and a future being staged in her name, she has to fight her way out of a domestic crime web dressed as love.
