A disgraced journalist investigating synchronized mass suicides discovers black-eyed Obstructors feeding on fear and a set of recordings that frame Earth as the only planet where free will can still break the pattern.
SYNOPSIS:
Alex is a journalist living in the wreckage of a story no one believed. After a wave of synchronized suicides erupts across the city, he captures evidence that the falling bodies are not random and that black-eyed figures are moving through the panic. His apartment is already a conspiracy command center when a new tape appears, carrying the voice of Phyllis and a warning about Earth, free will, and entities called Obstructors that twist souls into fear-driven shells.
The investigation costs Alex his family life with Sarah and Chloe, his credibility, and eventually his sense of what is human. The more he follows the tapes, witness patterns, and impossible deaths, the more the Obstructors press in: through strangers, media disbelief, and his own obsession. The title is literal and spiritual. Earth is the only planet of choice, the place where fear can win by consent or be resisted by will. Alex has to prove the pattern before the world writes him off as another broken man connecting dots after bodies fall.
