MUSIC, ART, AND AL A CARTE
By Markice Moore

GENRE: Romance, Music, Drama
LOGLINE:

Three broke young artists -- chef Jake, musician Emily, and painter Alex -- move into a crumbling city brownstone and try to turn food, music, and art into a life before rent, failure, and love pull the dream apart.

SYNOPSIS:

Jake, Emily, and Alex arrive in the city in a sputtering vintage conversion van loaded with vinyl records, paint brushes, spices, broken mugs, and everything they have not yet given up on. Jake is a chef with discipline and no margin for error. Emily carries a guitar case like armor. Alex sketches the chaos before he fully understands it. Their new brownstone is crooked, cold, and barely affordable, but to them it is a launchpad.

The story follows the three friends as they try to turn hunger into a shared creative life. Food becomes Jake's proof that he can build something real. Music becomes Emily's way of refusing to shrink. Art becomes Alex's record of what the city takes and gives back. Their dream is romantic, but not soft: rent is due, equipment breaks, confidence fades, and the line between friendship and love gets harder to manage. What begins as a fresh start becomes a test of whether art can survive when survival keeps demanding the whole table.
