RIDE THE DARKNESS: BLOOD AND LOYALTY
By Craig Markel

GENRE: Action
LOGLINE:

Beneath the sun-soaked beauty of Florida’s Gulf Coast, a retired cop is pulled back into the darkness when his former protégé vanishes undercover inside a human trafficking ring protected by corrupt lawmen and powerful politicians, forcing him to rally his old crew for a desperate fight to save her before she disappears forever.

SYNOPSIS:

In a quiet Florida coastal town, retired cop Colt Flynn, haunted by loss and old injuries, is jolted out of his isolation when he learns that his former colleague, Detective Nicole Beemer, has gone undercover into a human‑trafficking ring called The Ring and is now in grave danger. As Beemer’s undercover attempt collapses and she is imprisoned in a shipping container with other victims, Colt discovers that ruthless crime lord Jan Morales runs the operation with the protection of corrupt cops and the town’s mayor, Victor Hensley. Forced to confront his past and driven by the motto “Fides Amicitia” (“faith, friendship”), Colt assembles his old blue‑collar crew—Bear, Mo, Tim, and Ben—for a desperate rescue that leads to brutal confrontations, betrayals inside the police department, and a violent showdown in a decaying fish plant where the girls are held. Though they succeed in freeing the captives and stopping Morales, Colt faces legal consequences for his vigilante actions while Beemer pursues justice against Hensley and confronts Silas, a former victim turned lethal enforcer, forcing both of them to face their history. The story closes in a courtroom and its aftermath, where themes of justice, redemption, and identity converge as Colt, Beemer, and their team emerge scarred but united, and the survivors—and those who protect them—find a fragile but genuine sense of renewed purpose.
