GENRE: Other
LOGLINE: An upcoming promotion embroils three coworkers in two weeks worth of tension, competition, and distrust. When the final decision is made, each man must confront what the trial proved him to be.

SYNOPSIS:

John Harrington is a Project Manager at VantagePoint Consulting Firm. Under him are Marcus Hale, the company's Senior Analyst, and Daniel Reyes, an Operations Coordinator. When he's notified that he's being considered for promotion, John kicks back and is already anticipating his victory. However, John knows he's going to want to shape up as management begins evaluating him more closely. Unbeknownst to him, Marcus and Daniel have also received the same notice of consideration when he has them pick up the pace and reschedules an upcoming meeting. While tension rises, Richard Donahue, the Vice President of Operations, begins to assign a test to each employee. Each man grows suspicious of his colleagues as the date draws nearer, and all three work hard, try to look sharp, and prepare for the announcement. On the day, Daniel and John are shocked and resentful to discover that Marcus was the one chosen. In a gesture of kindness, Marcus offers them to celebrate with him, but they refuse - Daniel bitter over his wasted efforts and John too prideful to accept. Afterwards, however, John has a change of heart. Humbling himself, he shows up to Marcus' celebration dinner, and by it's end finds himself realizing the folly of his resentment. John apologizes to Marcus, and the two end the night going forwards as good friends.
