Before the Federation, before the Prime Directive, before peace—humanity’s first steps into space ignite war, survival, and moral compromise, guided by daring leaders, proto-Federation alliances, and genetically enhanced warriors who may become its greatest threat.
SYNOPSIS:
In the wake of first contact, humanity’s future is nearly extinguished before it begins.
When Zefram Cochrane’s historic warp flight draws the attention of the Vulcans in 2063, Earth stands on the brink of a new era—one of exploration, diplomacy, and hope. But that future is shattered when a wounded Klingon warship crash-lands in Montana, bringing with it a brutal truth: humanity is not alone in the galaxy—and not all who travel the stars come in peace.
As the Vulcans observe from a distance, unwilling to intervene in what they see as a volatile and unproven species, Earth is forced to confront a ruthless enemy far beyond its technological reach. The Klingons who follow are not honorable warriors—they are cold imperial conquerors. They wage psychological and physical warfare, enslave survivors, and push humanity to the brink of extinction.
With Earth forced to defend itself, humanity unites under a fragile planetary government and commissions its first experimental warp vessels, including the USS Pangaea, commanded by the brilliant and fearless Captain Soren Mace.
When a larger Klingon fleet attacks, Earth faces near annihilation. Desperate, humans secretly initiate Project Khan, developing genetically enhanced “Khan prototypes” to fight the enemy. These superhumans turn the tide of battle, but their ambition and ruthlessness soon threaten the fragile unity of the planet.
Through ingenuity, sacrifice, and moral compromise, humans survive. Secret alliances with Vulcans, Andorians, and Tellarites form the proto-Federation, laying the foundations for the United Federation of Planets centuries later, a history largely hidden from the galaxy at large.
Star Trek: Pangaea is the untold story of humanity’s first steps into the stars—a fight for survival that shapes the galaxy, and the people who dared to lead it.
