Thirty years after high school, a group of mid-40s adults receive a shocking notice: due to a clerical “irregularity” in Algebra II, all their diplomas and certifications are invalidated unless they retake the class in person. Reluctantly, they return to campus—only to face Mr. Arnold Kragle (Liam Neeson), the terrifying algebra teacher whose chalk and yardstick once ruled the classroom like weapons of mass intimidation.
SYNOPSIS:
Thirty years after leaving high school, washed-up, burnt-out, and wildly successful adults alike receive an official-looking notice: due to a clerical “irregularity” in Algebra II, all their diplomas and certifications are invalidated unless they retake the class in person. Reluctantly, they report back to the campus they thought they’d left behind—only to face Mr. Arnold Kragle (Liam Neeson), the terrifying algebra teacher whose chalk and yardstick once ruled the classroom like weapons of mass intimidation.
As the former classmates struggle through pop quizzes, group projects with teenagers, and detention for minor infractions, old rivalries resurface, crushes reignite, and hilarity ensues. But the real shock comes when they discover the truth: the so-called “technicality” was a thirty-year-old setup. Mr. Kragle meticulously orchestrated the entire ordeal as revenge for an infamous senior prank that traumatized him forever.

Joshua Clover Fun concept, Joshua. The idea of adults being forced back into high school because of an algebra technicality is a great comedic setup. Bringing back the intimidating teacher—especially with that revenge twist adds a strong hook. It feels like a story that could blend nostalgia with chaos in a really entertaining way.
