After Earth is conquered and enslaved by a genetically superior human race known as the Rishon, a group of elite human soldiers are trained to lead a massive counterattack against a brutal alien enemy—only to learn the mission is meant to sacrifice them, and that their supposedly invincible masters may have a fatal weakness.
SYNOPSIS:
Earth falls quickly when the Rishon arrive—an advanced offshoot of humanity whose intelligence, technology, and genetic superiority make resistance impossible. Yet the conquest is strangely restrained. Rather than colonize the planet or exterminate its population, the Rishon transform Earth into a remote military staging ground in their desperate interstellar war against a savage reptilian alien species.
The reason is simple: their greatest weapons have failed them. The alien enemy can corrupt artificial intelligence and turn autonomous machines against the Rishon, making their most advanced drones and robotic armies unreliable. Instead, they need something far less predictable—human soldiers.
Humans are drafted, trained, and genetically enhanced to fight a war they barely understand. Earth becomes a vast military training complex where elite units are prepared for what the Rishon describe as a decisive counteroffensive that could turn the tide of the war.
Among these forces is an elite squad of soldiers chosen to spearhead the attack. As their training intensifies, whispers begin to circulate that the mission is not what it seems. In truth, the human assault is intended to be a massive diversion—a sacrificial offensive designed to draw the alien enemy into a catastrophic battle while the Rishon strike elsewhere.
Before the truth can be fully revealed, disaster strikes. The reptilian enemy discovers Earth’s role as a military base and launches a devastating assault of its own. With no choice left, the Rishon deploy the human army into the battle they were never meant to survive.
Against overwhelming odds, the human forces fight with an improvisational brutality that even their masters did not anticipate. During the chaos of combat, the commander of the elite squad begins to notice something unexpected: the supposedly superior Rishon are not invincible. Their rigid command structure, fear of internal dissent, and inability to adapt quickly create dangerous delays in their strategy.
For the first time, a possibility emerges.
Earth may be enslaved—but the empire that conquered it may be far more fragile than anyone realized.
As the battle ends with staggering losses on all sides, humanity returns home still under Rishon control. But the commander now carries a quiet and dangerous realization:
Their masters are not gods.
And one day, they might be defeated.
