REFLECTION OF MIRROR

REFLECTION OF MIRROR
By Eric Bakhshi

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Horror
LOGLINE:

When a traumatized young woman moves into a remote cabin with her partner, a cursed mirror awakens an ancient entity that feeds on grief and identity, forcing her to confront whether survival is worth sacrificing the ones she loves.

SYNOPSIS:

Mia and her partner Bill relocate to a secluded woodland cabin in hopes of rebuilding their lives after a series of personal losses. While the isolation initially offers peace, Mia becomes increasingly disturbed by a large antique mirror left behind by the cabin’s former owner. The reflections begin to lag, distort, and reveal unsettling versions of herself, versions that seem more alive than she feels.

As strange occurrences escalate, Mia discovers the mirror’s connection to an ancient entity that survives by embedding itself within fractured families and inherited trauma. The presence has moved through generations by manipulating grief, dependency, and fear, turning loved ones into vessels. Bill’s behavior shifts subtly at first, then violently, suggesting the entity is preparing its next transfer.

Trapped between disbelief and revelation, Mia uncovers the truth: escape may be possible, but only if she allows the mirror’s cycle to continue through someone she loves. In a final confrontation that blurs the line between sacrifice and survival, Mia must decide whether breaking free is worth becoming the very monster she fears.

Reflection of Mirror is a slow-burn psychological horror film that blends supernatural mythology with intimate emotional terror, offering a haunting meditation on trauma, identity, and the price of looking too deeply into oneself.

Marie Hatten Thank you! I’m glad that resonated—it’s a key part of the story’s psychological tension and real-world fear.
