SYNOPSIS:

The conflict begins with violent incidence. Prince Nvemba of Ndongo kingdom shamelessly assaults king Nimi's second wife, Mona who is secretly Prince kitamba's lover, only son of king Nimi. In retaliation, Kitamba kills innocent prince kamba of Ndongo kingdom and later laid a nighttime raid on Ndongo palace, slaying king Ngola and beheading Nvemba. The Ndongo warriors responded with a counterattack on Kongo kingdom, reclaiming Nvemba's served head. Governor Luis with ulterior motives, allied himself to king Nimi seeking to exploit the situation to destroy Ndongo. The conflict escalated into full-blown war between the two kingdoms. On the battlefield, prince kitamba kills king Mbandi of Matamba kingdom, brother of Queen Nzinga. Kitamba is later slain by Maku in a duel. Seeking revenge for Kitamba's death, governor Luis razed Ndongo kingdom to the ground. Queen Nzinga fueled by grief and anger, rallied her warriors and launched a nighttime counterattack on the Portuguese fort, burning it to the ground. The death of her brave daughter, Zuri further enraged her. She chase after the fleeing Portuguese. In a final act of vengeance, she struck governor Luis dead in the waters.
