SYNOPSIS:

HANGER is an adult-animated dark-fantasy about Henrick, a broke, sharp-tongued survivor who discovers his bloodline is tied to a cult that doesn’t just worship hunger it organises society around it. Across the city’s skyline, the Great Maw has grown into a living religion: a two-tiered hierarchy (Upper Jaw and Lower Jaw) that keeps the population obedient through ritual, fear, and “mercy” that always comes with teeth. At its center stands Daelle, “The Tongue” a charismatic prophet-queen who proved her devotion by committing an unthinkable act: sacrificing and consuming her own child, turning cannibalism from taboo into sacrament. Henrick is forced into a scrappy alliance of misfitsfighters, freaks, and con artists who know the streets better than the scriptures when he learns Daelle is systematically “removing teeth” from the world: toppling communities, rewriting laws, and harvesting people as offerings to make the Maw permanent. Above her sit the Wisdom Teeth, four ancient record-keepers who curate the cult’s history like propaganda; below her are the Canines, animalistic war-leaders who act as living enforcement and battlefield mini-bosses. Every victory Henrick earns costs him something reputation, safety, relationships until the real horror is unavoidable: to stop The Tongue, he must face the personal truth that she isn’t just the enemy… she’s family, and the Maw was built for him long before he ever chose to fight it.
