SYNOPSIS:
Blood Between is a crime thriller that blends the sleek precision of Thief, the emotional intensity of Heat, and the high-octane action set pieces of The Italian Job.
Phineas Macleese made his bones decades ago as a legendary jewel thief who waged war on the NY mob after getting double-crossed on a heist that went bad. Now in his twilight years, he’s about to take down his final score, which will net him enough to put him on easy street. But his plan gets derailed when a hot shot crew steals his score from under his nose in broad daylight.
Phineas tracks down the crew to find the one responsible is his long-lost son, Michael — whom Phineas was wrongly accused of abandoning as an infant. Now that Michael has gotten his father’s attention he presents him with the score of a lifetime, a heist worth seventy-four million in gold bullion sitting in a customs warehouse.
Phineas declines, wary of the team—three thrill-seeking hotshots and Priest, a notorious thief with a shady past. But Michael insists. Seeing his son is in over his head, battling abandonment issues and desperate to prove himself worthy, Phineas reluctantly agrees to the job to protect him if things go sour.
As they execute the heist, Phineas quickly realizes it’s déjà vu all over again when they’re double-crossed by Priest, who will stop at nothing to eliminate the team one by one and seize the gold for himself.
