In the 1870s American west, a haunted civil war veteran must find his missing brother while his gang is relentlessly pursued by the Wendigo, forcing him to uncover the truth behind the local myth that now haunts them across generations.
SYNOPSIS:
The film opens in 1870s Appalachia, establishing the origin of the Morgan family curse. Edwin Morgan, a haunted former Civil War General and bank robber, is drawn to the mountains to find his missing brother, James. The search quickly turns into a desperate hunt through the unforgiving winter wilderness as Edwin realizes a savage, inhuman entity is responsible for the recent carnage. He tracks the creature, eventually realizing the horror is linked to James. This forces Edwin to commit the ultimate sacrifice: capturing and confining the creature in a hidden prison, a tragic solution that ends the immediate bloodshed but creates a generational curse.
Generations later, in 2025, Edwin's descendant, Dean Morgan, an ex-con, returns to the ancestral home. The curse resurfaces when the creature, James, is accidentally freed from his subterranean prison. The ensuing siege forces Dean and the other survivors to flee to the local Police Station Armory. The climax is a brutal massacre where Dean is finally forced to finish the war his ancestor started. He uses fire and a shotgun blast to destroy the entity, concluding the generational conflict. The chilling epilogue hints that the terror may not be fully over.
