SYNOPSIS:

In the final days before the Israelites cross into the Promised Land, Tamar, the fierce daughter of Joshua, begins to question the laws that govern her people. Trained as a warrior but driven by empathy, she defies her father’s command to destroy Jericho after discovering the humanity of those they are meant to kill. Her bond with Devora, a young Canaanite woman, grows into an act of rebellion that exposes the moral fractures within the Israelite camp.

When Tamar warns the Canaanites of the planned destruction, she is accused of idolatry and treason. The elders demand her death, and Joshua, torn between faith and fatherhood, consents to a ritual river trial meant to determine her guilt. Tamar survives the ordeal and swims to the far shore, where she finds refuge among priestesses who worship the forgotten goddess Asherah. Her escape becomes legend.

The pilot ends with a new beginning. Tamar’s survival forces her people to question their laws and threatens to awaken a spiritual movement that could unite or destroy both nations.
