ARCHANGEL: THE SUNSHINE PROTOCOL

ARCHANGEL: THE SUNSHINE PROTOCOL
By Gabrielle Myers

GENRE: Science Fiction
LOGLINE:

When an Afro-Latina behavioral therapist with a rare ancestral frequency is abducted from a championship basketball game and awakened inside a covert government lab, she discovers she is the living key to a consciousness network called The Field. On the run across the West Coast with a growing family of gifted children, she must confront the syndicate that experimented on them, uncover her father’s final message, and rise as the ArchAngel before the world is pulled into a psychic war of light and shadow.

SYNOPSIS:

In war-torn Afghan mountains, CIA agent Michael Myers sacrifices himself to launch a mysterious “Sunshine Protocol” and send one last message to his daughter, Gabrielle. Years later, Gabrielle Myers is an Afro-Latina behavioral therapist and Georgia State basketball phenomenon whose “too sensitive” mind has always made her feel broken.

On championship night in Atlanta, after hitting the game-winning shot, Gabrielle is abducted from the arena tunnel and sedated into a covert ORION/Neuronix black-site. She wakes strapped in an isolation chamber as doctors try to crush a strange, golden frequency in her nervous system. Instead, the energy erupts, bending metal, shattering glass, and proving that her mind is not an illness but an inheritance.

Gabrielle fights her way out of D-Wing and discovers she is not the only one. Behind observation glass, she sees other “resonants” — civilians and children wired to machines, punished for abilities they barely understand. One boy, Noah, can hear and steady her frequency when no one else can. In the chaos of her escape, Gabrielle blasts open the facility doors and flees into the Mojave night with Noah at her side.

They hide at a run-down desert motel just as Neuronix teams close in. There, Gabrielle meets Zariah Vance, a CIA agent who served with Michael. Vance reveals that Michael died trying to keep Gabrielle off Neuronix’s grid and hands her an encrypted drive. When Gabrielle activates it, her father’s holographic message tells her the truth: the Sunshine Protocol is not a weapon, but a living frequency woven through human consciousness — and she is its strongest carrier. Her mission is not just to survive, but to find and protect the resonant children before Neuronix’s director, Adrian Kestrel, turns them into a psychic arsenal.

Neuronix tracks the motel and a blistering firefight erupts. With Noah amplifying her control, Gabrielle learns to shape her power into shields and precision blasts, protecting civilians while dropping heavily armed teams with non-lethal force. The battle proves two things: Gabrielle is more dangerous than Neuronix anticipated, and she refuses to become the monster they’re trying to build.

On the run with Vance and Noah, Gabrielle follows a map of global resonance nodes hidden inside the Protocol. The loudest signal pulses from Los Angeles. There, in a forgotten apartment block, they find Elias, a boy whose fractured silver-blue frequency is collapsing his mind. As Neuronix mercenaries close in, Gabrielle, Noah, and Elias’ powers collide in a storm of light. Together, they stabilize Elias and break Neuronix’s first attempt to cage all three children at once, proving that when resonants connect, they don’t add — they multiply.

Word of Gabrielle’s escape and growing “family” reaches the top of the syndicate. Kestrel — cold, visionary, obsessed with order — realizes that if Gabrielle unites the resonant children, she could rewrite the “Field” that underpins human emotion and memory. He escalates from black-bag teams to a full psychic war: drones, resonance nets, and a hidden mastermind known as the Founder, who lurks inside the architecture of the Field itself.

As the story builds toward San Francisco, Gabrielle and the kids become a moving safehouse: learning to tune their frequencies, heal each other’s trauma, and turn panic attacks into power.

In the climactic convergence atop Salesforce Tower, the Founder collapses the Field over the Bay, turning fear, grief, and rage into weapons. Kestrel tries to force Gabrielle to “stabilize” the event on his terms, even if it costs the children their minds. Instead, Gabrielle does the one thing the system never accounted for: she trusts the kids. Hand in hand, the children amplify Gabrielle’s light until she ascends fully into ArchAngel form — not as a god, but as a living tuning fork for human consciousness.

Her frequency doesn’t just fight back; it resets the Field, freeing captive resonants and exposing Neuronix’s crimes to the world. The cost is real, the scars remain, but hope becomes contagious. As the dust settles, Gabrielle and her found family stand not as weapons, but as the first generation of a new paradigm.

ARCHANGEL: THE SUNSHINE PROTOCOL is a franchise-ready, Afro-Latina-led sci-fi thriller about trauma, neurodivergence, and the radical idea that healing is the most powerful superpower we have — and the one our enemies fear most.
