SYNOPSIS:
Seventeen-year-old Jace Rivera, a troubled youth carrying the unresolved guilt of a violent past incident that tore his family apart, is uprooted to the isolated mountain town of Crescent Vale—a place built on secrets, superstition, and a strange rhythm in the moonlight that seems to follow him. After an explosive argument with his mother, Jace storms into the surrounding woods to cool off—but instead stumbles into a life-shattering moment. He finds Lyra, a girl his age with silver glowing veins, collapsing as an uncontrolled surge of lunar power tears through her body. Acting on instinct, Jace grabs her—and somehow survives the blast that should have killed any human instantly. Shaken and terrified, Lyra drags Jace deeper into the forest to keep him hidden from her people, who cannot know a human survived her power. But they are quickly intercepted by Kaelen, her fiercely loyal protector, who sees Jace as a danger to their entire kind. Lyra leads Jace into Astraeon, a hidden moonlit civilization carved inside the mountain itself. The Moonveined elders are stunned: if a human can survive a surge, it means Jace’s existence is tied to a forbidden prophecy—the rise of the Eclipseborn, a being born in shadow and light, destined to either save their world or destroy it. As Lyra trains to control the power that is slowly consuming her from the inside, she and Jace grow dangerously close. Their connection intensifies their powers—and threatens to expose her as the Marked Vessel, chosen by the Hollow Moon, a cosmic parasite preparing to awaken and use her as its host. Jace’s presence destabilizes everything: Kaelen’s loyalty, Lyra’s destiny, and the fragile balance in Astraeon. But when the Hollow Moon’s shadow spreads across the real moon and begins corrupting Crescent Vale, Jace must confront the truth of who he really is. His tragic past, the guilt he’s buried, and the darkness he fears inside himself are all tied to the Eclipseborn prophecy. During the terrifying Eclipse Convergence, Lyra is nearly overtaken by the Hollow Moon’s pull. In a desperate act of love and defiance, Jace steps into the ritual beam with her, absorbing the cosmic corruption meant to claim her soul. With Kaelen’s help, he channels the impossible—pulling the Hollow Moon’s essence into himself and purging it from existence. Lyra saves Jace with the last of her moonlight, reviving him in a moment that binds their lives—and destinies—forever. As dawn breaks over Crescent Vale, the moon hangs clean in the sky, but Jace’s veins glow a new fusion of silver and shadow. He is no longer human… and no longer lost. The world has changed, and their battle has only begun.
