SYNOPSIS:

Dean, a haunted cab driver in recovery, picks up a distressed passenger named Karla. As he drives her aimlessly through Los Angeles, he witnesses her fleeing an abusive situation, and a bond of shared loneliness forms between them. Their connection shatters when Karla reveals her fiancé, Micah, was killed in a hit-and-run. Overwhelmed by guilt, Dean pulls the car over and confesses the devastating truth: he was the drunk driver who killed Micah. ​Karla confronts him with searing rage, but ultimately grants him a difficult, fragile forgiveness before parting ways. Having finally confessed the truth he carried for years, Dean is left alone in his cab, profoundly adrift but finally able to breathe.
