Set in a small college town, a recovering alcoholic mentors a student haunted by his best friend’s death, forcing them both to confront the truths that could save or destroy them.
SYNOPSIS:
At the "Heart House", we follow the journey of John Cooper, a recovered alcoholic turned counselor, who opens a substance abuse prevention center on a college campus.
John was a Wall-street wizard, who seemingly had it all, but when his son dies due to a drug overdose his whole world is shattered. Struggling to find meaning, John opens the “Heart House” in hopes of helping other young adults avoid the same mistakes as his son.
One day, while preparing for the new school year, John encounters Cameron, a troubled young man, who is reeling from a terrible tragedy of his own making. Despite being ill-equipped, John is sure that the Heart program can help Cameron face the fall-out from his car accident. The two are able to connect over their shared trauma and begin the healing process.
As their relationship deepens, however, John realizes that Cameron isn’t being fully honest with himself about his struggles with addiction. As Cameron begins doing speaking engagements at local high schools, the hypocrisy he feels begins to take an emotional toll. In parallel, John is trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Melissa, who he neglected during his own active addiction. The two men are forced to face hard truths about themselves and finally end up making vital decisions, when the stakes couldn’t be any higher.
Through the relationships these characters form and the work they do at the house, both John and Cameron begin to make a real impact on campus and the evolution of the Heart Program is nothing short of miraculous. John shows up for his daughter, which opens the door for them to finally heal. Cameron navigates the criminal justice system, where his fate after graduation will be decided, but he gets help from an unexpected ally, his deceased friend’s older sister, Leah. Most importantly, the program they build together in the "Heart House" will help young adults for years to come.
The "Heart House" is an inspiring dramedy that explores the universal themes of loss, grace, and self-discovery. With its relatable characters, witty dialogue, and heartwarming storyline, this series is sure to leave audiences laughing, crying, and ultimately, believing in the perseverance of the human spirit.

I'd rate it a three. 1. Use "Dramedy" instead of "Drama, Comedy" (I think it's more contemporary). Drop Set in a small college town. Although "Set" is not a preposition, "in a small college town" is a prepositional phrase, and reading it delays or distracts the reader's interest in what the story is all about. It's not needed.
