SYNOPSIS:

A seasoned candidate secures a place on a mission to travel back in time and avert Earth’s extinction—drawn by the knowledge that the target moment aligns with a quiet decision where he cut something from his life he now regrets. After outmatching a younger rival through experience and restraint, he begins the mission believing he can fulfill its objective while making a small personal correction. But when the jump leaves him stranded in space, unable to reach Earth at all, he continues logging the mission— avoiding the truth that he was never trying to save the world, but to restore what he once chose to leave behind.
