SYNOPSIS:
Mentally Chill (Unless I Forget) follows Crystal, a deadpan overthinker who wants nothing more than to be left alone with her dog and her own questionable life choices. That dream collapses when she receives a 30-day notice for a mandatory apartment inspection, kicking off a mockumentary-style spiral where Crystal, her anxiety-prone boyfriend Ryan, her hyperactive best friend Meg, and her judgmental dog Buttplug try to transform their disaster of a home into something that looks “fine from 12 feet away.” As the deadline approaches, every attempt at acting like a functioning adult backfires spectacularly — closets attack, trash bags revolt, friendships wobble, and Crystal breaks the fourth wall so often the camera crew becomes part of the joke. Each episode pushes the characters deeper into the absurdity of pretending life is under control, revealing a raw, hilarious truth: nobody knows what they’re doing, and adulthood is just a long-running improv show with no script. At its core, the series is a chaotic love letter to every person who has ever said, “I’ll get my life together tomorrow,” fully knowing they won’t.
