WELCOME TO CHINA! - Synopsis. After a fight with her boyfriend Summer Frock, failed wannabe actor, sends off the wrong resume and is mistaken for singer Aussie icon Kylie Minogue. Similarly, his agent sends Melvin T. Sinclair’s resume aka Shaquille O’Neal. Both are hired to teach English and Western Culture to Chinese students at Minorities College in China. Now the Chinese leader and Dean are desperate for glory and the win against the favored Qin College, which is led by American Dave Smythe in the National TV reality contest. Dave forces an all or nothing wager to the competition. Summer is offered a lead role back home but stalls while deciding to accept the dream offer or decline and stay with her underdog team in China who’ve grown to love her. Unsuccessful at training the students, the duo buys them new costumes, but Dave has them ruined which shatter their student’s dream of winning. And when the duo’s identities are found out Dave triumphantly confronts the Dean who in turn punish the duo. Her agent tells her now that her video has gone viral and in demand in the big studios and to get home immediately. With low confidence the students feel betrayal in the air as an agonizing Summer must decide once more whether to put herself first or not. Summer finds a way to bring Kylie Minogue to China to train the troupe. Kylie is thrilled when she finds an ace with a student who can shatter glass with her voice. Not to be outdone, Dave has the duo arrested for impersonation as they leave for the TV studio. Released and now in a mad rush, the duo get the true China treatment as they run into a barrage of frustrating road obstacles with watermelons and chicken laden bicycles that strangely remind them of their warm Welcome to China! His own students slime Dave after the Minorities College’s surprising win while cameras swing to Alex holding up a big sign with a marriage proposal that thrill the crowd. Now famous by her zany efforts, Summer lands a leading role contract from a big studio proving against Alex’s belief that there can be a pot of gold at the end of her rainbow.
