SYNOPSIS:

Set in a steamy Louisiana swamp during WWII, DAS BAYOU is a fictionalized version of actual events, centered on one African American soldier who struggles with what it means to be patriotic while coping with racism and German propaganda. CPL PATTERSON, wants nothing more than to do his family proud and get to serve in the real fighting overseas. Instead he's stuck here in the Bayou watching after German prisoners. After being wrongly accused of murdering a German, Patterson engages in a game of cat and mouse with a cunning Nazi officer.
