SYNOPSIS:

"I pledge to marry the woman the audience chooses" Boss of failing Broadway theatre company PLATINUM PRODUCTIONS, Chad Montague, sinks everything into a TV Reality Show "FIND MY PERFECT WIFE" in which the audience choose a celebrity's wife. Networks fight to air it and agree an obscene bonus tied to ratings. But they demand a guarantee. NO wedding - NO fee. After the celebrities all back out - Chad, Variety Magazine's own "Platinum Balls", is forced to step up. Actress and playright, ex-sweetheart Portia Capriolet, laid off with all her friends after Chad closed all their theaters, decides to join the race - intent on revenge. The final has Portia in a dead heat with The Bitch of the Show, a hired audience shaker and stirer, who did get the ratings up - but then fell in love with Chad. Judges announce a tie-breaker - only a virgin can win. Chad is now sure he'll get paid AND get a re-run. But Portia quits - leaving him to marry The Bitch or face bankruptcy. With Chad brought to his knees in front of a massive audience, Portia plays her winning hand: She'll save his ass if Chad will just explain on national TV: "Why you slept with my mother". Feature.
