When a die-hard Yankees fan escapes her nightmare apartment in Mets-dominated Queens to move to the Bronx, she finds love, a new tight-knit community, and the perfect season-ticket-holding partner. Together, they balance stuffy corporate jobs with their loud, passionate, and unapologetic love for baseball.
SYNOPSIS:
Bronx Ballers follows the lives of Deb and Jonathan, two bipedal anthropomorphic cats working at a soul-crushing, sterile brand design agency in New York City. By day, they navigate corporate jargon, ridiculous clients, and an out-of-touch Alpaca boss. But by night (and on weekends), they are screaming, hot-dog-eating, die-hard New York Yankees fans.
The series is a love letter to baseball and the culture of sports fandom. It explores the hilarious contrast between their professional personas and their stadium personas, the chaos of away-game watch parties on their Bronx apartment roof, and the art of the "polite roast" with opposing fans. Above all, the show champions good sportsmanship - proving that you can talk trash, make wagers, and passionately defend your team without ever crossing the line into malice.
