Washed ashore on an uncharted island, a young boy must outsmart feuding extraterrestrials who also yearn for home.
SYNOPSIS:
SEBASTIAN YOUNGFIELD (11) is an adventurous, wide-eyed boy sailing the world with his explorer parents when a violent South Pacific storm tears their journey—and their family—apart. Cast adrift in a dinghy, Sebastian is separated from his shipwrecked parents and left alone at sea for days… until a curious green pelican nips his toe and leads him to safety on a remote, uncharted atoll.
After a perilous reef crossing, Sebastian finds shelter on a small motu—an islet surrounded by a lagoon, facing a mysterious larger island. But what begins as a survival tale quickly turns otherworldly when Sebastian discovers the green pelicans are no ordinary birds—they’re DORRGROOS, a peaceful alien species stranded on Earth for millennia.
Long ago, the Dorrgroos crash-landed here while fleeing their ancient enemies, the ZEPPENDULARS, a dark and ruthless extraterrestrial race whose own buried ship has just been reactivated on the neighboring island. With their power source dwindling, the Dorrgroos’ only hope of returning home lies in commandeering the Zeppendulars' ship—before it launches.
To receive nourishment and survive the atoll over the centuries, the Dorrgroos have shape-shifted into local fauna and mythical figures: a fierce coconut crab, a wise sea turtle, a prehistoric ichthyosaur, a ghostly Polynesian warrior—and AMELIA (41), a marooned aviator frozen in time, whose human form becomes the Dorrgroos’ key to bridging the communication gap with Sebastian.
With danger rising and time running out, Sebastian and the Dorrgroos work together to leverage Amelia’s adventurous spirit, plan an interspecies counterstrike, and face a decision that could return them all home—or destroy the atoll and everything on it.
Blending classic adventure, cosmic mystery, and heartwarming friendship, Sebastian and the Invisible Island is a sweeping family epic about courage, connection, and wild places where destiny takes flight.
