THE LIFE OF LUCAS
By Paul Perezei

GENRE: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Adventure
LOGLINE: A brilliant but troubled inventor from the poisoned slums of Zivar discovers a paradise like parallel world and is given the knowledge to save his own, but when a corrupt government seizes his technology and blunders into that world, sparking a war, he must unite his captors and the displaced natives to lead a dangerous rebellion, not only to save them all, but to bring the true lesson of healing back to a broken Earth.

SYNOPSIS:

In the slums of Zivar, beneath a sky poisoned by a failed geo-engineering project, a brilliant young inventor named LUCAS builds a machine to escape his dying world. He crosses into Aetheria, a pristine dimension of luminous beauty, where serene Elders grant him the knowledge to heal his planet. They impart a grave warning: use this power only for good, or risk unleashing a greater darkness. Returning home, Lucas becomes a folk hero, curing the sick and cleansing the air. But his miracles draw the attention of a desperate government. Led by the ruthless DR. MARVOSKI, they raid Lucas's lab, destroy his atmospheric purifier, and take him captive. Obsessed with claiming the source of this power, Marvoski uses a duplicate machine to travel to Aetheria himself. He arrives to find paradise fallen. A tyrannical sorcerer-king, KAELON, now rules, and Marvoski is immediately captured. Forced to lead a rescue mission, Lucas returns to Aetheria with a team of soldiers, only to be ambushed and stranded in the war-torn landscape. To survive and get home, Lucas must reunite with the surviving Elders and unite his government soldiers with Aetheria’s rebel fighters. The solitary inventor must become a revolutionary leader, confronting the evil his own actions helped to empower. In a final, climactic battle, Lucas defeats Kaelon not with force, but with the healing principles he was taught, restoring balance to Aetheria. Lucas and his team return to their world to find that three years have passed. The government, believing them lost, has terminated the project. Seizing this second chance, Lucas leverages his newfound authority and wisdom to take charge of a new initiative. No longer a prisoner, he becomes the director of a project aimed not at control, but at genuine restoration, finally healing his world and proving himself worthy of the gift he was given.
