THE SHEPHERD'S PALACE

THE SHEPHERD'S PALACE
By Fatima Abdolhamid

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Science Fiction
LOGLINE:

In a collapsing city shaken by unexplained cataclysms, a high-ranking government executioner spirals into madness as he confronts a plague of guilt, ideological rot, and the unbearable truth about his wife, his child, and the violent system he serves.

SYNOPSIS:

The Shepherd’s Palace follows the unraveling mind of a government operative whose job is legalized murder. When a catastrophic “divine sieving” kills over twenty-six thousand people — including his wife’s daughter, a child he secretly knows is not his — he descends into a hallucinatory journey through grief, rage, and ideological corruption.

The city burns under red and green skies. Bodies pile in the streets. Religious cults sacrifice children. Feminists clash with zealots. Snipers clean the crowds. Governments hide truth behind propaganda. And through it all, he documents every detail with cold precision, believing he is part of a righteous plan to “preserve superior genes” while eliminating the weak.

But the façade fractures.

Haunted by the child he could not love, pressured by the Central Office, stalked by his former trainee, and tormented by the unbearable contradictions inside him, he begins to understand that the system he serves is not cleansing humanity — it is consuming it. As the world collapses into ideological extremism and environmental hysteria, he is forced to confront the question: Is survival worth the cost of becoming a monster?

Told in an intense, stream-of-consciousness style, The Shepherd’s Palace is a dark, provocative psychological drama about guilt, power, faith, and the terrifying thin line between order and madness.
