A successful, middle aged business executive brings home a male prostitute she met in Prague. Her life is turned upside down in beautiful and unexpected ways as she helps him to let go of the past and she learns to live and love again.

SYNOPSIS:

Mariana Penrose is in Prague for business. She meets Arben Bajrami, an Albanian male prostitute. Mariana invites Arben back to her hotel. She learns that Arben’s parents were killed in a car accident and he helps take care of his 3 younger siblings. Mariana is moved by Arben’s story so she invites him to stay with her in America. Arben travels to America and moves into Mariana’s house. Mariana gets a job for Arben working with Niko Ahmeti, the Albanian owner of a café/bakery. Niko invites Mariana to his home for dinner. She is unsure, but accepts and gets encouragement from her colorful group of girlfriends. Niko and Mariana have dinner and Niko teaches Mariana the tango. Mariana also plans her oldest son’s wedding with her friends.

One of Mariana’s friends tries to seduce Arben. He refuses. Arben is also scolded by his older brother because he is not making enough money to support the family. Arben reactivates his profile on an escort service and returns to prostitution. The friend that tried to seduce Arben, who works with Mariana, gets Mariana fired from her job. Mariana’s oldest son gets married.

Niko confronts Mariana about being secretive. She finally confides in Niko her concerns for Arben and her job loss. Niko is very supportive, unlike her ex-husband. Arben is now making enough money to support his family. However, his secret life starts to unravel when he has to defend himself against an attempted sexual assault. Niko confronts a bruised Arben who is too ashamed to tell Mariana and Niko he has returned to sex work. After Niko leaves the cafe, Arben makes a special, elegant dessert.

Mariana starts her own business with Niko’s help and gets her first client. She also does a tango event with Niko where they are the headlining dancers. Mariana has lunch with her ex-husband who tries to rekindle the relationship. Mariana refuses. After the dinner with her ex, Mariana goes to see the friend that got her fired and they make up. Before a social event, Mariana, Niko and Arben are at the café. Niko notices Arben’s new desert in the fridge and samples it. The dessert is exquisite and Niko requests that Arben make more for the café. Later that night Arben is arrested for turning tricks. Mariana is extremely upset, but becomes compassionate when she learns Arben is trying to make money for his family.

Mariana helps Arben set up his own business. Niko expands the café to include Arben’s bakery. Arben’s business becomes very successful with Mariana and Niko’s help. Mariana flies Arben’s brothers and sisters to America for a surprise visit. They meet at Niko’s café and the Bajrami family is reunited. Niko makes a dessert for Mariana and asks her to marry him. She accepts. Mariana and Niko, now husband and wife, do an exhilarating tango dance. They are completely in love and the ending is happy.
