When a samurai-trained woman's family is murdered by a vengeful outlaw gang, she systematically hunts down each killer across the frontier, wielding both katana and Colt in her relentless quest for vengeance.

SYNOPSIS:

Adriana Von Plata, a 24-year-old woman trained in samurai martial arts in Japan for ten years, lives peacefully with her Dutch father Henri and mother Sarah on their frontier homestead. When she encounters members of the Clemen gang in town, her martial arts skills surface as she breaks gang member Clive's arm in self-defense.

Peter Clemen, a bitter former sheriff turned outlaw, arrives at the Von Plata homestead with his thirteen-man gang. Clemen harbors deep resentment toward Sarah, who rejected him years ago after he was shot and permanently injured as sheriff, choosing Henri instead. Unable to let go of his lost life and love, Clemen has come for deadly closure.

Despite the family's preparations for a siege, Clemen's gang overwhelms them in a brutal nighttime assault. Henri is shot in the neck and dies in Adriana's arms, while Sarah is killed by a headshot. The homestead burns as Adriana escapes on her horse Nakama, but both are wounded by pursuing gunmen. Nakama eventually dies from his injuries, leaving Adriana alone and near death in the wilderness.

Preacher, a reformed philanderer turned man of faith, finds and rescues Adriana, nursing her back to health in his church. As she recovers, Adriana embraces the "way of aloneness" from her samurai training and embarks on a methodical campaign of vengeance against every member of Clemen's gang.

Armed with her katana, wakizashi, and revolver, Adriana becomes "The Ghost of Von Plata," systematically hunting down each gang member across the frontier:

• Nash: Strangled with her signature red sash in a broth
• Harry: Shot point-blank in a hallway
• Carlisle: Burned alive after being trapped in an outhouse
• Robert: Shot in the neck, mirroring her father's death
• Amos: Killed by throat strike after she shoots his beloved horse
• Jeb: Drowned in a sluice box during hand-to-hand combat
• Clive: Stabbed through the chest with her wakizashi
• Terry: Sliced open with her katana after a poker game

Each kill becomes more brutal and creative as Adriana's quest consumes her humanity. When she finally corners Clemen, he takes Preacher hostage, forcing Adriana to let him escape to save the man who rescued her.

After weeks of tracking, Adriana finds Clemen alone by his campfire in the Sierra Nevada mountains. She shoots him non-fatally, ties him to a tree, then leaves him with a knife to cut his bonds and a revolver loaded with a single bullet. As wolves howl in the distance, she rides away with his horse, leaving Clemen to choose between suicide or a slow death by exposure and predators.

The film ends with Adriana disappearing into the forest, her vengeance complete but her soul forever changed by the brutal path she chose to walk alone.
