A has-been, almost forty year old woman is recalled to her hometown she abandoned twenty years ago when her mother unexpectedly dies, forcing her to choose to either face her true identity she buried in the past, and start her life again, or allow her rage and guilt to burn her future to ashes, as the L.A wildfires of 2025 incinerate her past.

Interesting concept, Juliana Philippi.
I suggest changing "almost forty year old" to "_______ (the main flaw she has to overcome in the script or an adjective that describes her personality)."
I think "let the fires raging all around, consume her" is vague. I suggest telling what the fires are.
