After killing a Soviet commissar during an attempted assault, a fighter ace defects to Nazi Germany—only to learn there’s no safe side in war.
SYNOPSIS:
At the height of World War II, Rosa Kovshova — a decorated Soviet fighter ace known as the “Swan of Stalingrad” — defects from Stalin’s air force after killing a powerful Party commissar who attempts to assault her. Recruited by German intelligence, she is given a new identity and tasked with flying covert reconnaissance missions deep behind enemy lines in modified aircraft, gathering intelligence critical to the war.
As Rosa proves herself an exceptional pilot, she becomes entangled in the dangerous world of German intelligence, where rival agencies compete for power and loyalty is constantly shifting. Flying increasingly risky missions in experimental aircraft, she navigates political intrigue, internal conspiracies against Hitler, and a brutal war that treats women as expendable assets.
When Soviet agents attempt to lure her back with the promise that her imprisoned father is still alive, Rosa realizes both regimes view her as a pawn. With Germany collapsing and Allied bombers devastating the Reich, she makes a final desperate decision: steal Germany’s most advanced jet aircraft and defect once more — this time to the Americans — risking everything in a daring flight across war-torn Europe in search of freedom.
