A heartbroken father flies cross-country to pack up his daughter’s apartment after her suicide and is forced to question what pushed her over the edge. Was it heartbreak, mental illness, or something from his own past?
SYNOPSIS:
Though the surface is calm, beware the deep.
Shocked and grief-stricken by the suicide of his daughter Charlotte, Parker Platt travels across the country to find out who’s to blame for her tragic end. He enlists the help of Charlotte’s vivacious yet mysterious friend who harbors a dark secret of her own.
As Parker delves into the shadowy depths of his daughter's life, he stumbles upon the chilling revelation that the most likely culprit of all…
...is him.
Wracked with guilt, he fights to blame anyone and anything other than himself. Increasingly isolated from his wife, his children, and Charlotte’s other friends, he seeks comfort in Olivia. It’s only after they’ve fallen in bed together that he learns of her devastating secret.
In a desperate confrontation with Olivia, Parker faces a choice between revenge and redemption. Will he succumb to his basest impulses, or can he emerge from the depths to heal the wounds that ripple out beyond his daughter's tragedy?
