A lonely warehouse employee forms an unlikely friendship with a tick living in the building's elevator, only to discover that the companion helping him survive his isolation may be the creature feeding on him all along.
SYNOPSIS:
Jorge works in a small warehouse where confusion has become part of everyday life. Deliveries arrive without explanation, instructions are incomplete, and every unresolved problem eventually lands on his desk. Reliable but overlooked, he spends most of his days alone inside a building that seems to grow stranger with each passing week.
As coworkers come and go, the warehouse becomes less like a workplace and more like a maze of dark corridors, malfunctioning equipment, and absurd responsibilities. The isolation slowly begins to take its toll.
The only constant in Jorge's routine is a small tick living inside the elevator. At first he barely notices it. Eventually he begins talking to it. Before long, the Tick becomes his closest companion, appearing whenever situations become particularly absurd and offering observations, advice, and the understanding Jorge can no longer find from the people around him.
As the friendship deepens, Jorge's grip on reality begins to blur. The Tick seems to know things it shouldn't know. The building feels increasingly alive. Everyday workplace frustrations start taking on the logic of a dream.
When Jorge suddenly collapses and wakes up in a hospital, doctors deliver a simple explanation: he has been suffering from a severe tick-borne infection accompanied by a high fever.
For the first time, Jorge is forced to question everything he experienced. The conversations. The friendship. The companion who helped him survive his loneliness.
Unable to accept the diagnosis, Jorge struggles with the possibility that the only friend he had inside the warehouse was also the creature feeding on him all along.
