KATOKO: THE BANHAMMER
By Daniel Danitto

GENRE: Comedy, Animation
LOGLINE:

In a social world of goblins with capitalist prejudices, a sly kuker-hacker makes his living hunting internet trolls. But when the trolls are pushed out of their comfort zone, the Chupacabra emerges with vengeful fury.

SYNOPSIS:

In the neon gloom of the panel-block city, Bar Baba Yaga is a refuge for demons, bogeys, and bizarre creatures. There we meet Katoko, a grim kuker-hacker working as a freelance ban-hunter. His annoying friend Bustan is a ghost trapped in a scarecrow’s body who believes he is a future rap star.

While Demy enchants the crowd with a forbidden tune, Katoko hunts down internet trolls to help their victims. But his actions ignite fury in the digital underworld. In the basement of Block 4, angry bogeys perform a ritual and summon Juan El Chupacabra, a small but vicious creature with a personal hatred for kukers.

Out on the street, Katoko and Bustan face Juan and his minions. Katoko’s hashtag-shurikens give him a brief advantage, but the monster proves far too strong. Just when all hope seems lost, Lamya Spaska, a dormant beast sleeping beneath the panel blocks, awakens with a thunderous roar and drives Chupacabra back into the shadows.
