A terminally ill New Zealander finds her last shot at redemption by risking it all to save a young mother and her son from a brutal film producer's human trafficking ring.

SYNOPSIS:

Diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, LAURA MACHEATH (30s) leaves her New Zealand hometown for Los Angeles, drawn by a cherished childhood memory with her mother.

Taking refuge in a Venice Beach motel, she befriends her neighbor JENNIFER HARDY (20s), an aspiring actress, and Jennifer's son JACOB (6), finding an unexpected connection as she grapples with both her mortality and the haunting trauma of childhood abuse.

Laura's newfound peace is shattered when she discovers Jennifer is trapped in a trafficking operation run by DAN VAN ZANT (40s), a predatory film producer who manipulates vulnerable women with false promises of stardom.

Seeing echoes of her own past abuse, Laura decides to use what little time she has left to save Jennifer and Jacob from Dan's brutal network, forcing her to confront the very evil she once fled.
