GHOST WRITER

GHOST WRITER
By Brett Wickman

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Mystery
LOGLINE:

A struggling writer must finish her assignment to finally move on—unaware it won’t stop when she does.

SYNOPSIS:

Maeve Sinclair is trapped in a rigid system where stories are written, reviewed, and either approved or rejected. Finishing one means freedom—but no matter how hard she pushes, Maeve can’t seem to get there.

Her latest assignment follows a young girl named Hannah. Determined to finally break through, Maeve pushes too far, too fast—only to be shut down by her reviewer, Simon. Forced to start again, she learns to balance hardship with connection, slowly shaping a life that begins to work. For the first time, her pages are approved. She’s closer than she’s ever been.

Encouraging her along the way is Sam, a fellow writer who urges her to loosen control and let the story breathe. Under pressure, Maeve agrees to a small compromise—one that begins to shift things in ways she doesn’t fully understand.

The story improves. It gets approved.

But something about it isn’t right.

And by the time Maeve realizes why...

It’s already too late.
