SYNOPSIS:

Sam Hardcastle is a hard luck private detective trying to make a buck. His hardboiled veneer means he’s always one case from the big time. Or bust.

When a six foot seven widow walks into his office he knows she’s a mountain he’ll have to climb. Her husband’s missing and she needs a good dick. Not a problem. It’s what dick’s do.

Cherry Tomato, his loyal associate, is a Brooklyn born bombshell blond with homespun street smarts. She’s constantly kidnapped, but that’s not her fault.

He can’t get the bad guys without help from the federales. In fact, he can’t get the bad guys unless he gets help from the federales. FBI agent Curvaceous, a raven haired beauty with a Kevlar corset, helps him finger corrupt convicts in New York, dirty dealers in the City of Angels, portrait pinchers in the Windy City, bayou black marketeers in Mobile and clandestine commies in Amish country.

It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.
