When his missing daughter returns, a father's search for answers unearths a truth far stranger and more dangerous than he ever could have imagined.
SYNOPSIS:
When six-year-old Emily Rider vanishes from a lakeside campground, her family is shattered. Days later, she reappears — alive, unharmed, and ten years older. While her mother clings to her child's voice and memories, her father, Ray, struggles to reconcile the girl before him with the daughter he lost.
As Emily is placed under observation at Briarcroft Research Institute, a secretive facility studying unexplained temporal anomalies, Ray uncovers a disturbing pattern: children who vanish, return years older, and are quietly absorbed into classified research programs. Emily is not an isolated miracle — but part of a phenomenon others have paid dearly to survive.
As Briarcroft prepares a secretive procedure designed to harness Emily's abilities, the family goes to war with the institution holding her — racing to get her out before the science does something to her that can't be undone. With time running out and aggressive forces closing in, Emily must learn to control what's happening to her before she leaps again — this time forever.
