Three ladies from the 80s try to sing their way to a better life.

SYNOPSIS:

The Orlando Sound is a comedy series in the tradition of John Hughes and “Savage” Steve Holland, if they made eight- to nine-hour movies split into as many parts.

As the name suggests, it takes place in Orlando, Florida circa 1986. It follows three young women who decide one night that they’re sick of their lot in life, and unlike so many of us who’ve been in that position, they decide to do something about it. They decide to write their ticket to a better life on the musical tutelage of “The Mikes”, a pair of local wunderkinds who see their own ticket in the vocal talents of our three heroines.

You could be forgiven for thinking you were watching a lost series that somebody stole from NBC and buried somewhere in the desert, only to be uncovered for all of us to see, and to hear. It’s a product of its time, to be enjoyed in ours.
