Daphne & Ambrose

90 minute comedy screenplay

SYNOPSIS:

This film is set in a working class suburb where doctor Daphne pringle has her surgery. Her husband is a yuppie bank manager and is unhappy at his wife's which she chooses to live. Living with them is acid tongue mother hoping to be a grandmother. Ambrose widowed father Cecil is a towns clerk ready to retire. The story revolves a week with dysfunctional activities and conflicts with other family member's and friends. They all celebrate Cecil Pringle's 65th birthday followed by fish and vegetable market, Scenes in Ambrose bank where his Neighbour is trying to borrow money. The story moves to Cecil 's office where he is enjoying his last day before retirement. It creates chaos by using council office building for residents. This is followed by a court scene, then a fiasco when Ambrose seeks revenge on his next door Neighbour. The story concludes with Cecil and a new found bride at the airport leaving on their honeymoon, Daphne confirms that she is finally pregnant.
