SYNOPSIS:
Returning from years of war, the warrior Aldric encounters a vampire ambush on a remote road: a farmer named Grim and his fiancée Sibylla are under attack. Aldric intervenes, killing several vampires — unknowingly slaying the brother of the Vampire Lord, Varkor. The creatures escape with Sibylla, and Grim, bitten and barely conscious, is saved when Aldric brings him to Elias, a monk who heals him. Grim swears to repay the debt if ever called upon.
Aldric returns to his fortress and marries Beatrice, the love of his life. For five years, they raise a family in peace. But when Varkor finally tracks him down, the vampires strike. Aldric fights brutally, killing many — but they escape with Beatrice. Left with his two children and a ruined home, Aldric believes his wife is dead.
He brings the children to Grim, and with Elias’s guidance, begins a relentless crusade across a cursed land — tracing the old paths and forgotten lore that lead toward Varkor’s hidden castle. Aldric is consumed by vengeance, a warrior with nothing left but rage and purpose.
Grim hides the children, but Sibylla — now a vampire, twisted by darkness — and her unit eventually discover them. Forced to flee once more, Grim risks everything to protect the last innocent part of Aldric’s world.
What Aldric doesn’t know is that Beatrice still lives — transformed, imprisoned within Varkor’s world. Torn between her lingering humanity and the bloodthirst that now defines her, she must confront what she’s become... and what she still feels for the man hunting her kind.
As vengeance closes in, paths converge, and the love that once bound them may become the final weapon — or the final wound.
