During the Great Migration, a headstrong antelope and a stoic kudu get their horns tangled
in a lion‑triggered stampede and are left behind, forcing them to cross the savanna to
catch up with their herds — surviving predators, disasters, and hopefully each other, all
while stuck together.
SYNOPSIS:
During the Great Migration across the African savannah, headstrong antelope Zipp and
stoic kudu Kazu collide while fleeing a lion, their spiraling horns locking together in the
chaos of the stampede. Swept away from their herds and unable to separate, the reluctant
pair is joined by Bongo, a philosophical dung beetle who insists their misfortune is
destiny. Their urgent mission—catching up to the migration—deepens when they discover Nilo, a lost wildebeest calf, and vow to protect him.
Their journey becomes a gauntlet of escalating dangers—charging rhinos, swarms of bees,
treacherous mud, gale-force winds, and narrow cliff ledges—all while struggling to
untangle their horns. Zipp’s anxious improvisation clashes with Kazu’s rigid discipline,
threatening to tear their fragile partnership apart, while Bongo’s cryptic humor offers
perspective and levity. As a shadowy predator stalks them from the tall grass, Nilo’s
innocence forces Zipp and Kazu to confront their fears and learn to move—literally—in
sync.
In a climactic confrontation, Zipp and Kazu finally stand together, their horns snapping
apart at the height of the struggle—an earned physical and emotional release. United at
last, they fend off the threat with the timely arrival of the herd. Nilo is reunited with his
family, and Zipp and Kazu realize that true connection isn’t about perfection or ease, but
about choosing—again and again—to stay together when letting go would be easier.
