An insurance investigator tracking a recent string of art forgeries of a single artist’s work crosses paths with an FBI agent who investigates the occult.  Together they stumble upon the ancient secret that the artist is an immortal sorcerer who has been making his art by trapping mythical beasts in the artwork – and that for every forgery, someone has released one of the beasts for their own twisted, sinister purpose.
