An imaginative boy creates a robot to win the science fair, but it fails spectacularly, humiliating him, causing damage to the school, and creating a media event that lasts several days, and his unreasonably overbearing parents throw it away due to their (very public) disgrace. Upon arriving to the dump, however, it reactivates, rebuilds itself with scraps and spare parts it finds, and sets out to complete its last known objective (which it overheard through the kitchen window from the garbage can) – to get revenge on everyone who ridiculed the family.
