A female war survivor adopted by a white family, becomes an immigration judge, unwillingly to deport her blood brother.
SYNOPSIS:
"Fagret: the female survivor", is my first baby book that I published some time in 2008. The true survivor adopted by American family, though I don't know her where about I tried to convey my content as a novel. By chance when I happened in LA for a book tour fair I met with her close relative the survivor's niece. On her part she tried to enquair the Survivors whereabout. I also met with Mr. Hughes the middle man from Colorado, but he insisted not to lead me, because the adoption was not binding. Her biological father passed away several years ago. Here the story goes:
The year was the last day of December 31, 1970. The author of the script was 11 years of age and he was doing grade six at the time of Owna Massacre. The place OWNA is a village at the outskirt of Keren town. At that black day about more than 500 villagers were massacred by the Ethiopian soldiers. There was one baby female survivor. She was found under her dead mom, sucking blood. Her real name is Tirhas. In the story I go by the name Fagret, which means in Tigre language a female survivor. The survivor was adopted by an American family. If she is still alive she would be 53 years old.
I adopted the story on a screenplay with 5 main arcs, 1. The tradgedy of the massacre and the female survivor. 2. The dilema of the biological father in adopting his daughter. 3. The success of the adopted survivor to become a Judge. 4. The status of being trapped into two situations between her duty as a Judge following the immigration law deporting her brother and rescinding the law to keep him in USA. 5. The joyous meeting with her biolobical father in Africa. Two life experience in two ontinents, her biological father in Africa litigating with his mind if he ever made an error in adopting his daughter and on the other hand Fagret the female survivor undergoing a racial and crosscultural problems.
