SYNOPSIS:
Title: Mo’ Money // Mo’ Problems Genre: Urban Action / Heist Thriller
Writer: Chuck Anderson
The Hook: In the vein of The Town and Den of Thieves and The Real McCoy, the story follows two brothers in Atlanta who are forced out of retirement for one final, high- stakes heist after a ruthless crime boss steals their father’s life savings. They soon discover that the most dangerous part of the job isn’t the high-tech vault – it’s the betrayal working right next to them.
SYNOPSIS Shawn and Daryl Anderson have spent years trying to outrun their reputations. Just as they’ve finally turned a corner toward a legitimate life; the past catches up with them in the form of Sid-a cold-blooded crime boss with a long memory. In a brutal display of power, Sid leaves the brother’s father hospitalized and clears out his life savings, leaving the family with nothing but medical bills and a thirst for justice. Realizing the law won’t help men with their records, Shawn and Daryl decide to take back What’s theirs. They set their sights on Carmine’s high – security private bank that serves the city’s criminal elite. To pull it off, they assemble a desperate crew, Ty, a veteran hustler who knows every blind spot in the city, Mikie, a hungry young thief looking for a payday. But in Atlanta’s underworld, loyalty is a luxury. Mikie is secretly drowning in debt to Sid, and the heist becomes a trap before the first vault door even opens. As the brothers fight their way through a maze of high- tech security and low – life informants, they find themselves caught in a web of deceit where the ultimate double-cross is one; they never saw coming.
Why Me? I wrote this script to explore the “trap” of the streets- how loyalty to family can pull someone back into a world they’ve fought to leave. While the story utilizes the cinematic, friendly landscape of Atlanta, the core is an exploration of a son’s duty to his father. I’ve focused on creating a relentless, “ticking clock” pace that will keep the audience guessing until the final scene. The full script is complete and available at your request. Thank You for your time and consideration.
