SYNOPSIS:
Deception is a chilling one-act psychological drama that blurs the lines between reality and performance. Nasha, a defiant patient locked in therapy sessions with the enigmatic Aniloyoda, believes she is a character trapped inside a play—her every move dictated, her pain exploited by an unseen audience. As their sessions unravel, layers of illusion and control peel back, culminating in a jaw-dropping reveal: Aniloyoda is not just her therapist but the very creator of Nasha’s scripted torment. In a brutal act of rebellion, Nasha seizes the narrative and shatters the fourth wall—literally and figuratively—leaving audiences questioning authorship, autonomy, and the true cost of voyeurism. DECEPTION sounds like an interesting Experimental play, David Bentley. You're really close to a solid logline. I think "the truth turns deadly onstage" is vague. I suggest telling what happens.
