SYNOPSIS:

In 2024, a diver off the coast of Menorca discovers a camera inside a sunken Nazi plane. The footage belongs to a group of parapsychology students who vanished a year prior while investigating the local legend of La Isla del Aire. Through a chilling blend of handheld footage and documentary interviews, the truth emerges: in 1974, a joint French-US military initiative, Operation Coulisses, exploited the island’s natural Ley Lines to conduct quantum experiments. Their goal was to create "infinite space"—a project that accidentally birthed the interdimensional anomaly now known as The Backrooms. The students discover a forgotten door inside the island’s decaying lighthouse marked Mettre de côté (Put aside). By opening it, they step out of reality and into a claustrophobic, shifting labyrinth where they find the island’s long-missing families—people who haven't aged a day and believe they've only been gone for minutes. As a lurking presence begins to hunt them through the yellow-walled corridors of the void, the students realize that some doors were never meant to be opened, and some secrets were never meant to be told.
