COVERAGE RECOMMENDS

Recommended by The Script Lab (Coverage)

Set in the expansive solitude of rural Montana, Montana Quagmire follows Silver Bloodstone, a grizzled, enigmatic Black cowboy with a haunted past and a loaded duffel bag. After a misfire-filled encounter with nature, Silver finds himself face-to-face with the twisted Sheriff Grizz Firebrick and a rotating crew of lawless locals. Enter Clover—a whip-smart, foul-mouthed woman with trauma of her own—and the stage is set for dark comedy, crackling tension, and a slow-burn spiral into violence, paranoia, and unexpected redemption.

What begins as a stylized character study becomes a taut and deeply original neo-western thriller soaked in Tarantinoesque dialogue, Coen Brothers absurdism, and a bone-dry satirical tone.
