After failing to graduate middle school, a young boy is forced to spend the summer at his aunt's performing arts school for students with disabilities.

SYNOPSIS:

The screenplay follows Edmund, a teenager who fails his final exam and gets sent to spend the summer with his Aunt Maple at her quirky art school. Edmund befriends his younger cousin Zatara and her friends Clarion and Chelsea, who are making a film adaptation of "The Last of the Mohicans." However, Aunt Maple reveals the school is shutting down due to finances. The students must take standardized tests to be placed into public school. Edmund helps them study and they end up at the same high school as Edmund's former best friend Tyrone, who betrayed him. Seeking revenge, Edmund and his new friends play pranks on Tyrone throughout the school year, culminating in Edmund being crowned Homecoming King alongside Chelsea as Queen. Ultimately, Edmund finds friendship and belonging with this new group.
